As no trucks were available to match the 7’ foot wheelbase of the Azalea's trucks, a compromise was taken. The Aristocraft passenger truck sideframes scale out to 5 foot 8 inches wheelbase (in 1:20) and have a fairly nice appearance. They are also reliably tough and have ball bearing journals. Accordingly, these trucks were deemed to suit the freelanced cars we had in mind.

The Azalea rode on 26 inch wheels. Sierra Valley makes a lovely 26 inch wheel set that fits exactly the journals of the Aristocraft sideframes.
