To freelance the design of the cars required planning several separate but related tasks. We started our thinking by looking at the prototypes and considering the cartypes we wished. Our approach to this process is set out in this section. In addition, the way in which car floor plans were developed is also described. Just as car types drive floorplans, floorplans drive window configurations and to some extent the mechanical systems each car requires. All these details needed development.
